Crushes are fun. Or at least they’re supposed to be fun as long as you keep them that way. As long as you don’t get emotionally invested or fixated or keep imagining your reality to be what it is not – crushes are fun. But if you expect too much or feel too easily, you might end up with self-inflicted heart ache which just leaves you feeling empty-handed or just plain empty. And all of this for someone who never even promised you anything from the start.

When you meet a woman who is intimidatingly witty, stylish, beautiful, and professionally accomplished, befriend her. Surrounding yourself with the best people doesn’t make you look worse by comparison. It makes you better.

I’ve been on tumblr for over three and a half years. Which means I’ve posted and reblogged quite a lot (58,881 posts to be exact, though I supposed this post will make it 58,882). Most of those have been visual media, but a lot have been quotations.

I really like to collect quotations. And in the past few years, I’ve been keeping all of my favorite ones in a word doc (they’ve also all made an appearance on this blog). I just counted and that word doc (which until now has just sat on my computer) contains 311 quotations.

I thought you guys might like to see them. So I put them up on google docs (which I think might now be called google drive) so you guys could take a look at them if you want.

I’m sure you’ll relate to at least some of them. I imagine you’d have unfollowed me a long time ago if you’re the type of person who can’t relate to any of them. I imagine you won’t relate to all of them. They can be specific, things my favorite musicians have said about my favorite songs. Songs that you may not enjoy. Also, it’s pretty heavy on the Sylvia Plath. I relate to a lot of the things she had to say.

But anyway, click on the link and it should take you to the aforementioned google doc. Enjoy!
